The Queensland lungfish, also known as the Australian lungfish or barramunda, is a fascinating freshwater fish native to the Mary and Burnett river systems in south-eastern Queensland, Australia. While it is formally known as Neoceratodus forsteri, it is also commonly referred to as the Burnett salmon, lungfish, or Ceratodus.
