The white-eared opossum, also known as the Argentinian gray short-tailed opossum, belongs to the Didelphidae family of opossums. This small marsupial is found in the dry forests of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. Synonyms for the white-eared opossum include the gray short-tailed opossum, the greyish short-tailed opossum, the small grey opossum, and the Paraguayan opossum. Although it is called the white-eared opossum, its appearance is mostly a light gray color with a grayish-white underbelly and distinctive white-tipped ears.
